Registration for 21 km BMW / Open Category

Course: 21 km
Start/ Finish venue: Budiman Walk, Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Berakas
Starting time: 06:00 am (Men's open followed by Women's open) 
Cut off time: Four (4) hours
 

Participation fee : $85.00 (Late period fee until 5 November, before 12 midnight)
Closing date: November 5, 2024 or earlier when full.
Race material pick-up: 28th and 29th of November, Thursday from 05:00 pm to 08:00 pm and on Friday from 02:00 pm to 08:00 pm at Tarindak D'Seni, Jalan Residency, in Bandar. 

 

Registrant entitlements

An exclusive Brunei Half Marathon BMW Edition Event Tee, 1 x Brunei Half Marathon BMW Edition Bag and a Race BIB with timing chip. Special Perk: BMW customers receive an additional BMW gift.
Finisher entitlements within the cut-off time
An exclusive Brunei Half Marathon BMW Edition Finisher Tee, a Finisher medal, post-race refreshments and Running Time (Accessible from the website after completion).
 

Eligibility

  1. Entries and bibs are non-transferable. Violation will result in disqualification and no refund of the entry fee will be entertained.

  2. AKIF Media Marketing & Event (“the Organiser”) sanctioned by Brunei Darussalam Athletics Federation reserves the right to disqualify, exclude any person from the race, and to take disciplinary action to applicants who provide incorrect personal data/details on the entry form, including those who have been banned from competitions, or who have been suspected of having taken banned substances. No refund of the entry fee will be entertained under any circumstance.

  3. Participants who do not wear the valid bib of Brunei Half Marathon 2024 are not allowed to enter the racecourse toward finishing line. Those who violate this rule will be asked to leave the course immediately.

  4. Participants will be disqualified if they do not start at the designated start line race and start time assigned by the Organiser.

  5. Participants for the Half Marathon must be 16 years old or older on 1 December 2024.

Terms & Conditions and Rules & Regulations
All participants must agree to the following terms and conditions, rules and regulations in order to proceed.


The following applies to all entrants.

  1. The official entry online form must be completed fully by each intending participant. Completion of the entry form and payment of the entry fee represents acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  2. The Brunei Half-Marathon BMW edition is organised in accordance with the rules and regulations of AKIF event sanctioned by Brunei Darussalam Athletics Federation, and all participants agree to abide by these rules and regulations and comply with all reasonable directions and decisions made by the officials and representatives of the AKIF event.

  3. Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the organisers to ensure the participant's safety. Participants run at their own risk and the organisers shall not be liable for any loss and/or damage whether personal or otherwise and howsoever arising. All participants accept responsibility for travel and medical insurance and for payment and/or reimbursement of any medical/surgical expenses incurred.

  4. There is an official four (4) hour finish time limit for the Half Marathon category. Any remaining participants after this time are requested to run on the footpaths or have the option to be collected by our crew using a sweeper car. 

  5. In accordance with the rules and regulations of AKIF event and BDAF, a runner must retire from the race immediately if requested to do so by any member of the official medical staff.

  6. There will be no refund or transfer of participation for those participants who do not take part or if the event is cancelled for whatever the reason.

  7. The organiser reserves the right to limit and refuse any entries.

  8. NO COLLECTION OR CLAIM of Race Entry Pack on the Race Day or AFTER the event. A participant who is not able to collect the Race Entry Pack may appoint someone to collect on behalf during the RECP day.

  9. Confirmation of registration to the Brunei Half-Marathon BMW Edition will be sent via email after payment of your registration received.

  10. Any uncollected Race Entry Pack during the Race Entry Pack Collection (REPC) will be donated to charity and will NOT be claimable after the event. Participants may collect their respective Race Entry Pack by nominating a representative and bring a copy of ID and Confirmation of Registration document.

  11. The Event’s Half Marathon and the 10 km routes have been measured to the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (“AIMS”) standards. The length of the race routes has been established by an accredited World Athletics-AIMS course measurer. 

  12. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs taken and email provided (including those of Participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Event including any programme(s), event(s), talk(s), demonstration(s), or any other activities associated before, during or after BHM 2024, for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising, publicity purpose and distribution to Sponsors anywhere in the world.

  13. In addition to the above-mentioned cut-off time for Half Marathon, the Participants in the Half Marathon must reach the finish line in the stipulated cut-off times (gun times); otherwise, they will be deemed disqualified or did not finish.

  14. ​Winners or potential winners who do not use his/her assigned running bib will be disqualified.

  15. Prize money will be submitted to the winners through bank transfer within 1 to 3 days or after the Organiser has done verification on checkpoint and the recorded video.
